• A native of Galveston, Texas, graduated from Kirwin High School in 1967 and received an Associate Degree in Business from Galveston College in 1969.
• He is a veteran professional firefighter of 32 years and former Fire Chief for the City of Galveston.
• This experience has enabled Danny to develop a working knowledge of City procedures and the experience of managing a multi-million dollar budget.
• Danny has been married to his wife, Yvonne, for over 33 years. Together, they have two adult children and four grandchildren. His family roots on the Island cover five generations and date back to the 1800's.
• He has resided in District 5 for 50 Years.
• Danny firmly believes in the basic principle that "Government must be by the people and for the people; it cannot be by the government and for the government." Danny thinks that Galveston taxpayers must be heard and their concerns must be addressed. He believes that Galveston belongs to the citizens, not the elected officials.
